Review Summary:

This model from Hotpoint is easy to use and it comes with a good range of programs. It has a lot of space in the interior and it does offer some options for adjusting the racks. While some of the programs do take a while to complete, they are all effective and consumers should be more than satisfied with the results. Considering the performance and the versatility, this model is a solid value for the price.

The Hotpoint Privilege FDDSN11010P is a large freestanding machine that can be good for homes with large families. It offers ease of use and a nice selection of programs that can make it good for a wide range of dishwashing jobs. This model is also fairly efficient with an estimated annual energy consumption of 295 kilowatt hours.

Being a model that can fit 14 place settings, this dishwasher has a good amount of interior space and it does have some adjustable racking features that can be good for versatility. The top rack is height adjustable and it also has movable sections on the top rack to accommodate different types of dishes. You certainly could find machines that have more adjustment options, but this one does have the ability to accommodate just about anything that would be common in the home.

The features and options on the FDDSN11010P provide the user with a nice assortment of capabilities. This model comes with eight wash programs and some special features like the half load setting and an extra dry feature. For cycles you get an economy setting, a setting for intensive wash, fast wash, normal, delicate, express, soak and sanitizing wash.

Consumers should be impressed by the cleaning performance on all of these settings. The intensive wash does a great job of cleaning deeply soiled items and then you also have a program that does a great job on glassware and a sanitizing program that can be good for making sure that your dishes are really cleaned. The one downside is that some of these programs can run a little long on time. The economy cycle takes about three hours to compete and for intensive wash, you will be waiting for about two and a half hours.

This model hits the mark well in regard to ease of use. It has an up and down button to cycle through the programs and then individual buttons to add features like extra drying and half load. You just cycle to the program that you want, selected any added features that you may need, hit the ok button to confirm and then the start button to get it going. This machine also has an LCD display to show the selected options, the progress of the wash and indicators to show when the machine is low on salt or rinse aid.

The Hotpoint Privilege is a quality made machine that should last a while. It has anti flood protection to guard against leaks and it has an indicator to tell the user when the filter is clogged. If you manage the machine correctly, it should provide reliable performance for a long time.
