The Hotpoint LSB5B019X is a decent semi-integrated dishwasher that should work well for most homes. It comes with all of the program options that the average home will need and it has some good interior racking features. This model also does well in regard to efficiency with and estimated annual energy consumption of 295 kilowatt hours.
This model offers a nice amount of room for the dishes and it comes with a range of adjustable racking features. It can fit up to 13 place settings and it has a height adjustable top rack. In addition to this, both baskets have folding racks and there are some tip up compartments. It loads up nice and easy and it has options that will let you fit just about any piece of kitchenware.
The LSB5B019X comes with all of the basic programs and features that you need, but it is a little lacking in options. The machine has five programs including intensive, eco, normal, express and half load. This will cover all of your basic washing needs, but it does not have any of the common extras that consumers have come to expect. The half load is a specific cycle instead of a feature that you can add to the individual programs and you don’t even get a delay timer.
The performance on this machine is about at the middle of the pack. It does perform well for most of your common dishwashing applications and you do have an intensive wash that can be good for cleaning dishes with caked on grime. The express cycle is also good for when you need some dishes cleaned in a hurry, but it only works well for dishes that have a light soiling and the dishes come out of the express cycle a little damp.
The LSB5B019X from Hotpoint is easy to use. The control panel is on the front of the machine and it has a knob for setting the program and some indicator lights for low salt and low rinse aid. You just select the program by turning the dial and press the start button to get it going. It also has indicator lights to show which stage the current cycle is in.
The build quality on this machine seems to be pretty good from a mechanical standpoint, but there are some issues on other points. The controls have a bit of a flimsy feel to them. The knob that you set the cycles with just feels a little cheap.
