Review Summary:

This popular machine from Zanussi is universally praised by buyers as offering great value for money. Niggles are few and wash results are excellent. For a small unit it packs in plenty of clever features and there are more than enough programme choices. If you're looking for a slimline machine this could be just the ticket.

The Zanussi ZDS2010 slimline dishwasher is a narrow dishwasher designed to fit into spaces approximately half the size of a standard sized dishwasher. Nevertheless it holds 9 place settings which is still pretty good (the largest capacity of any slimline machine is 10 place settings). The dimensions are (H)85.0 x (W)44.6 x (D)60.5cm. It uses 0.8 kWh of energy and 13 litres of water per cycle. This dishwasher costs £33.60 a year to run which is pretty cheap by comparison to similar models. It has an A energy efficiency rating and is A rated for both washing and drying performance. The dishwasher runs quietly at 51 dB.

This Zanussi dishwasher features a 35 minute quick wash for less dirty items and a long intensive wash programme for burnt on food such as cheese or gravy. It features a pre wash and has a sensor which tells the machine when there is a half load (now that is clever!). This means less water is used and heated and less detergent is used which saves energy and money and takes the headache out of programming the machine.  This dishwasher has a normal daily wash at 65° and an economy wash at 50°.

The controls are straight forward with an LED display and dial.  It has a salt level sensor and a rinse aid sensor.  This dishwasher is very straight forward to use. And has an indicator light to show when the cycle is finished. The top basket is height adjustable and slides out to make more room for larger items in the bottom basket. The ZDS2010 features 5 wash programmes and 3 temperature settings.

To summarise, customers said it looked good, ran quietly, was efficient, was of good build quality and were pleased with their purchase. A general theme was that buyers felt that it offered good value for money. The only criticism noted was that some owners said that the baskets were poorly designed saying it would not fit breakfast bowls and that the capacity was reduced as a result.

The Zanussi ZDS2010 Slimline Dishwasher retails at around £269. Please take a look at the video review below for more buying information and, if you think this might be the right option for you, just click the green banner underneath the video to check the very latest price.
